Things are going great here in THE GREAT O.C.M.
Angela, our progressing investigator is amazing! We are going over to
her home nearly every day to solve her concerns and she has been
inviting friends over to her house! She is the most golden and helpful
investigator ever! I really am getting spoiled as a new missionary
because I inherited all these awsome investigators.
The fourth of July! It was pretty boring for a
missionary, just another day and we couldn't see the fireworks from our
apartment, but we did have members feed us for lunch and dinner. We have
a meal every night with members and almost always they BBQ. So you
mentioned how it is really dry in Utah. It has rained inches over
the last week and it has been a very wet spring for even Ohio. Its great
for all the crops out here. (corn is 10 cents each in the stores).
Shopping is soooo different here because different foods are more
expensive. They are selling peaches right now but they are pathetically
small, and they aren't nearly as good as Utah peaches.
We are finding lots of new investigators here. I just
learned that there are nearly 600 people in the ward now, but many are
inactive, but it is a huge ward.
I want to try
and write most of the family today, but it all depends on time. I will
probably write Mom/Dad, and the younger siblings. When I email I feel
like I am simply spewing information but when I have time to write I
think about it more. I am really tired because I had a hard run this
morning. My companions and I have a gym in our complex so I usually run
every morning.
I have learned some valuable lessons this week on my
mission. The last couple of days I have really caught the fire of the
work because I finally learned to be myself. It is impossible to be an
effective missionary while being someone you are not because it is all
fake. When you try to be someone you are not it is hard to find inner
peace with yourself.
Sorry, no pictures this week, I forgot to take any. I will try to be better at that.
