More Amish miracles in our area! We have continued our service project with
an Amish family here, and by the way, goat milk is way better then
regular cow milk. We continue to slowly build relationships with these
people and all the Amish leaders are very nervous that we're in the
area. They are afraid that we are teaching people in their communities
whom they're not aware of. Everything is on edge right now and the Amish
saints are very anxious to see what will happen.
Other
than that we have a baptism coming up. This investigator is so stellar
that he taught our gospel principles class this last Sunday. The lesson
was on the atonement and it was one of the most insightful lessons I have
ever been a part of. He is amazing. We are aiming for the first week in May, before transfers. This is probably the most intelligent person I
have ever met. We have been through a few bumps along the road, but now
he is ready. The thing is when all is said and done the spirit is
something that one cannot deny. It is so powerful
Also
I spoke in church this last Sunday. President Nilsen was supposed to
come up to the Amish group but had to cancel, so Saturday afternoon they
asked me to speak. It was a late night but I was able to put together a
talk about the divinity of trials, how we all need them and they are
gifts from God for our learning. Overall it was an enjoyable Easter.
After church there was a pot luck which we were able to get an
investigator to.
Short
on time, but I will send a couple letters. I love you all so much. The
more I am on my mission the more I see what the restored gospel has the
potential to do for families and I am so glad we have that.
Love,
Elder Beutler
