Greetings from the Great OCM!

Christmas week was a good week. One thing I really learned this Christmas is that Christ-He is the Gift. I have never felt closer to the Savior before than this Christmas season. I invite everyone to Share the Gift, because even though it may not be Christmas time anymore, the Gift still needs to be given.

A couple awesome things happened this last week. One of which was Saturday, when a couple that I found when I was in Xenia a year and a half ago, got baptized. The Xenia Sisters had been teaching them in the recent months and they finally made their way into the water. I am looking forward to them next making it to the temple.

At the baptism we were able to get one investigator to come. She is the young daughter (12) of a family we are teaching. She had a wonderful experience and came to church the next day, although her mother and father did not come. I hope that because of the righteous actions of this young woman that their family will see blessings from her attendance at church. Satan does everything within his power to prevent people from coming to church and taking part in the ordinance of the sacrament. It has been a real struggle the last couple of weeks to get our investigators to the church. That will be our focus this upcoming week.

I encourage everyone to set goals for this upcoming new year. Decide now what kind of person you are and who you want to become and set specific measurable goals to get there. Set goals for the temple, for sharing the gospel, for school, and other personal accomplishments. Set a vision for this year and it will be a good one! I need to do the same before the 1st. "it is through goals that our hopes are transformed into action" (pmg)

I am really looking forward to Mission Leadership Council tomorrow with the other leaders and President Daines. This may be my last MLC, depending on what happens at transfers. I have been a zone leader for about a year now and expect their will be a change soon.

I love you so much. It was so great to get to talk to everyone on Christmas Day. It felt to me as if I never left when I talked to you. I hope I was able to portray a small part of what the mission is doing for me and helped bring you to the great Ohio as we talked. I thank God for each and every day I have been given to serve as a missionary at this great time in the history of the world. There is no greater duty.

I love you!
