Greetings from. . .my home
It was very great to hear about the good experiences you had with the Feeney family. What a miracle! I do believe there is work to do not only for the dead, in the Feeney family tree. I really do look forward to meeting them in the future.
Well, the mission is drawing to a close. This week was another awesome one, full of exchanges, but I enjoyed them. It feels so strange being an older missionary and then seeing younger missionaries and thinking, "I remember when I was like that." We had some fantastic lessons this week and our awesome investigator is still on date for the beginning of June. He told us this week that while reading from the Book of Mormon, he had an overwhelming peace come over him and he knew it was true. He told us about his yearning to be baptized and that all his doubts have been resolved as he has read from the Book of Mormon. His faith in Christ is developing to new heights as he continues to read.
The Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion and upon its truthfulness hangs all the principles and doctrines of our church. without it our testimonies of the restoration would not survive. Everyone should be reading from the Book of Mormon daily. It will be attacked over and over again in the years to come and we must be able to stand our ground. Without a witness from the Holy Ghost we will find ourselves "tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine."
My mission seems to be growing ever more precious to me as the days wear on. I am doing all I can to give everything in these last days in the field, knowing very well how much I will miss it when it is all gone. This week is going to fly by with 2 trainings on 2 separate days in Columbus. One is zone conference on Tuesday, the other is an i-pad training on Friday (there are representatives from the missionary department who will be addressing us). This is my last real week in the field before the hectic transfer week. Monday will be my last email home, I look forward to bearing my testimony then of this wonderful mission experience.
Love you all!
