Greetings from the Great OCM!!!
Transfers
again; sorry I did not remind you about it. Sister Miller let us know
that she talked with you. There are so many Millers here that who knows
if we are related. OK, so transfers . . .
I am staying, Elder Dubose is staying, and we will be receiving a
new missionary (brand new missionary) and I will be his trainer! I am
way excited since training has been one of the best parts of my mission
so far. A "zone-leader-baby" as we call them. I am super happy that I am
not leaving since I love this place!
Thanks for the trunky images of opening day of
baseball. Spring fever has hit me and I am just dying to play catch.
Luckily the Amish love baseball and frequently play it in the spring
time so I will probably get the chance to play a few times.
Sorry I am writing this so late. We had another
zone fun day today. But anyways in a nutshell here are a few highlights
from the week. First off, I don't think I have been so close to the Spirit before in my life. It seems that there is something really really
special about these Amish people. There is a spirit in their homes that
is only comparable to the temple itself. It is truly amazing. The
struggle continues to reach out to their family and friends. Little
things will happen here and there but nothing dramatic yet, after all it
is by small and simple things that great things are brought to pass.
Right now we have started focusing on X-Amish people who are more
receptive to the gospel it seems. We have had the Amish families come up
with a list of about 30 names of X-Amish people whom we will try and
see. I am sorry this is so short but our time is about up. I promise a
couple letters that will be more detailed.
Love,
Elder Beutler
