Another week living the dream!
I
feel like I often speak too soon. Me and my companion are getting along
great. I love him. He has simply been here for a long time and is
getting tired. It happens to most everyone who has served in an area for
an extended period of time. We are still having a good time and I am
still loving my mission! In terms of having a bad companion, or having a
hard trial, I have been exceedingly blessed on my mission because I
have never had one. Yes, it is hard but it has always been hard. I am
doing well. I only mention this because the email I received hinted that
I am going through struggles.
The blessed
land of Xenia . . . it has been a good week. We have had lots of member
support. On Monday a member gave us a sweet referral, a family, and we
did service for them later in the week. Families are awesome to teach
because it is so temple oriented.
It is crazy
that Cari is getting married. It would be awesome to be there to see the
wedding, yes. However, there is no place that I would rather be than
here in the great OHIO. The same blessings that Cari, and our family
will be receiving on Saturday is the exact reason why I am out here. To
bring that to others. That is the ultimate goal. Baptism is just a step
in the big picture. I don't want converts who get baptized, I want
converts who will be sealed in the temple someday. That is what my
prayers and hopes have been focused on more recently. So this Saturday,
when Cari gets sealed to Nathan, I will be striving earnestly to bring
those blessing to others. I so hope to stand in the temple someday with
someone I have helped bring to a knowledge of the gospel. That is what I
have been called to do.
Well, yes, it is
transfer week (Thursday) and I will know about transfers on Wednesday,
however since we now email every Monday regardless of when preparation
day is you will not hear the news until either you read the email that I
send in a week, or the letters that I send on Thursday (Wednesday is
p-day) either way they will probably arrive on Monday. I don't think I
am going anywhere though. There is a lot of work to be done here in the
blessed land of Xenia. . .the great Ohio. 7 months left on my mission
and I am feeling overwhelmed to reach my goal of teaching 3 families
that will one day be sealed in the temple.
I
love you all, good luck with the wedding, I will wear my name badge
proudly that day knowing what a wonderful family I have been given.
Love,
Elder Beutler
